Therapy Intensives
Healing the Whole Person
A focused path for those who need it.
Why Choose an Intensive?
(Use about 80% of her original wording.)
Counseling intensives offer an alternative to the traditional weekly therapy model. They are intentionally time-limited, goal-oriented, depth-focused, and highly personalized, making them a meaningful option for those who wish to address a particular challenge with dedicated time and attention.
While weekly therapy is deeply valuable, it is not always the most effective format for every situation. A concentrated therapeutic experience over several consecutive days can create the continuity needed to explore the root of longstanding patterns and begin the work of lasting change.
Many therapeutic approaches focus first on stabilization and coping skills, both of which are important. An intensive creates additional space to gently explore and resolve the underlying experiences that continue to shape the present.
An intensive is not designed as a chance to "get away," but rather as an opportunity to courageously turn inward. By choosing to show up for yourself in this way, you make an intentional commitment to your own healing.
Many people leave an intensive with greater clarity, renewed hope, and a deeper sense of connection to themselves.
What Is a Therapy Intensive?
This section can stay remarkably close to hers.
During an intensive, we spend consecutive days together, and throughout that time you are my only client. This uninterrupted format is very different from traditional weekly therapy and allows us to remain engaged in the therapeutic process without the pauses that naturally occur between appointments.
Depending on your needs, our work may incorporate:
EMDR
Somatic Experiencing®
HeartMath® Biofeedback
Safe and Sound Protocol
Rest and Restore Protocol
Integrated Listening Systems
Attachment & Trauma Repair
Grief Counseling
Every intensive is personalized, and the therapeutic approaches we use are chosen according to your individual goals and needs.
Therapy Intensives May Be Right for You If...
You'd like to move more rapidly than weekly therapy allows.
You're working through developmental or relational trauma.
You have an irregular or demanding schedule.
Specialized trauma therapy isn't available where you live.
You prefer working with a therapist outside your community.
You'd like to thoughtfully address a significant life challenge soon after it occurs.
A Note About Readiness
This paragraph from the original is excellent.
Please know that therapy intensives aren't the right fit for everyone. Sometimes slower, ongoing work is needed before deeper trauma processing can begin. This is often true with complex trauma.
Our goal is always to honor the natural healing process rather than rush it. Together, we'll determine whether an intensive is the right approach for you at this point in your journey.
Preparing for Your Intensive
This can follow almost exactly from her site:
90-minute assessment by phone
Referral from therapist/physician if appropriate
One-hour preparation session
Personalized intensive
Length & Structure
(Use her original schedule but simplify it.)
Minimum: 2 consecutive days
Most people benefit from 3–4 days
Some individuals choose 5 days, depending on their goals.
A typical day includes:
Morning therapeutic session (3 hours)
Lunch and personal time
Afternoon therapeutic session (3 hours)
Evening for reflection, rest, and integration
During the Intensive
I actually love the six steps she listed. I'd keep them.
Together we will:
Complete an in-depth assessment of your history, strengths, and current concerns.
Clarify meaningful treatment goals.
Develop tools and resources for stabilization.
Process trauma, grief, or unresolved experiences.
Prepare for future challenges.
Create a personalized follow-up plan.
Cost & Payment
The cost of your intensive depends on the number of treatment days scheduled.
Therapy Intensives: $250 per clinical hour
Minimum Intensive: Two consecutive days
Example: Two full intensive days: $3,750
Assessment, Preparation Appointment & Two-Day Intensive: $4,000
Travel and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the participant. Insurance does not currently cover therapy intensives.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your dates, with the remaining balance due on the first day of your intensive. Accepted forms of payment include credit card, Health Savings Account (HSA) card, and cash.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made within 72 hours of booking are fully refundable. After that time, payments are non-refundable except in cases of documented emergency, as multiple consecutive days are reserved exclusively for your intensive.
Scheduling an Intensive
The first step is a 90-minute pre-intensive assessment. Please speak with your current licensed therapist or physician first. With their recommendation, contact me to schedule your assessment.

A Gentle Invitation
Choosing a therapy intensive is more than scheduling additional hours of counseling.
It is a decision to step away from the distractions of everyday life and create intentional space for healing, reflection, and meaningful change.
Together, we work with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your own pace, honoring both the wisdom of the mind and the intelligence of the body. Healing cannot be forced, but it can be deeply supported when given time, presence, and care.
Many people leave an intensive with greater clarity, renewed hope, and a deeper connection to themselves—not because everything has changed overnight, but because something important has begun to move.
"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
